Why does my robotic lawn mower slide downhill after docking, and how can I fix or prevent this?

After completing mowing or returning to charge, your mower may sometimes slide downhill instead of staying securely docked on the charging station.

Cause:

This issue is usually caused by the charging station being installed on uneven or sloped ground.
When placed on an incline, gravity causes the mower to slide after docking, which can also lead to unstable charging connections.

How to Fix:

  1. Check ground flatness

    • Use a level tool to inspect the station’s base and the 1 × 1.5 m area in front.

    • The slope should be ≤ 3°.

    • If the area is sloped, relocate the charging station to a flat, stable surface, away from water, corners, or narrow passages.

  2. Reinstall and update the station

    • Disconnect power and remove the 4 ground stakes.

    • Place the station on flat ground, ensure it’s level, and reinsert the stakes firmly.

    • Update the new position in the app by aligning the mower’s camera with the station’s QR code.

  3. Test docking & redraw the docking path (if needed)

    • Send the mower home using the “Home” button or the app.

    • If the station was moved more than 10–15 cm, re-scan the QR code and redraw the docking channel in the app.

  4. Check for other possible causes

    • Clear away stones, weeds, or dirt under the base.

    • If the mower still slides on flat ground, check whether the tracks are worn — contact after-sales service for replacement parts if needed.
